Masseria Palombara Agriturismo

After many years of carelessness the Masseria Palombara has recently been restored.
The current owners have tried to give the building its old charm back. They have wanted to respect its original architecture as well as possible.
All the rooms of the original farmhouse have been saved: the cowshed has been turned
into a restaurant-room; the vaulted barns with their old wine-tankers have been transformed into a reception and breakfast-room; although they offer all modern comforts (private bathroom, fridge, air conditioning and TV), the bedrooms are still as they were in the past.

The Masseria Palombara is located in a 15-hectare field, in which are cultivated olives and wheat. Beside the farmhouse there is a small pine wood, from where you can hear the buzzing of the cicadas in the heat of the summer days. Behind the Masseria there are some citrus trees, from which you can get delicious marmalade. Finally, in the territory of the farmhouse you will see a few examples of Pajare of Salento, typical old stone houses that people built in the previous centuries.
